  HAPPY NEW YEAR! (buy drunk sound guy a shot!)  So it's a new year now, time to recap what all happened in 2006. 

Here goes...

Somewhere in the Sands plains on a Sunday afternoon Jimmie is fixing his truck, meanwhile across the county Stranded begins to form. then...

Keith gets drunk

Ryan shows up

Barry laughs at funny sound his amp makes when he shuts it off at the end of the night

Stranded makes mid-season trade with Buzz Factor - 1st round draft pick for all-star triple threat Karyn Johnson

Jon breaks another string, a toggle switch and 3 mic cables, gets mad, gets drunk (so does Keith)

Karyn, Jon, Ryan get drunk, Jimmie does a shot, Barry gets sober.  (Obviously Keith is drunk)

Karyn jumps, I mean dives, I mean falls off the stage.  She says she was pushed, Keith says "she was drunk and never pushed me at all, even if she did it doesn't explain the funny sound Barry's amp makes"

Ryan practices his surgical techniques... on himself of course

     I think that's about it, for me personally the final score was about 15 broken strings, over 400 used up picks, 1 toggle switch, 4 toggle switch knobs, 3 mic cables, a guitar cable, 2 necklaces, 1 watch, 2 bracelets and Dish stole a ring right off my finger.

     For the band as a whole the score was about 40 really fun nights of playing, over 100 new friends on myspace, way too many great people to count out at the bars, including friends, bar staff and owners, a lot of shots, a lot of practical jokes and many, many good times.  Thanks to everyone for helping to make it such a great year for us.  Let's keep it rolling through 2007!

    I'm sure you've all heard already, Bret Michaels has postponed his show at the Upfront on 12.4, he has fallen ill. The new show date will be Thursday 12.7, all tickets purchased will be honored on the new show date. (if you still don't have a ticket there are just a few left, so get on it!) p.s. if you want to know the real story, Ryan wasn't feeling good last weekend, so to make sure that he would be able to sing good, KJ called Bret and told him that if he really wanted Stranded to open for him, he would have to wait until Thursday.... and now you know the rest of the story.... the one we're stickin' with anyway. LOL

     Alright everybody!   Here's the big news, it's official now.  Monday, December 4th 2006 at Upfront & Company!  We will be playing a show with Roadhead!  Yes!  I love Ponch!  I can't wait!  It's gonna be awesome!  Tickets go on sale today, Friday, November 24th.  Roadhead will start the show off, then we get to play for about 45 minutes or so, then some guy named Bret (that's Bret with 1 T) finishes out the night.  Never heard of the guy myself, but everybody says he's pretty good.  We'll see if he is I guess. Hope you can all make it out!

P.P.S.   Don't be sending me any e-mails about who this guy is either.  Like I don't know Poison lead singer BRET MICHAELS!   I am a child of the 80's, the good old days (right Laur!?)  The days when the was no file sharing on the internet, if you wanted a copy of a song without buying it you waited until Q-107 played it on the radio and you got a crappy recording on cassette.  The days when you turned on MTV and could actually see Music TeleVison, did you kids know that's what M.T.V. stands for?  And then there were the summer tours, Skid Row, Kiss, Tesla, White Lion, Warrant, Trixter, and of course the Ratt/Poison show, all at the Lakeview Arena. Who remembers that?  I bet a lot of people do.  So come out on the 4th, throw your fist in the air and have a good time again!  HA "Nothin' But A Good Time", get it?

     So I'm back updating again, my eyes hurt from staring at this computer screen. 

     Strandedband.com isn't so bad to deal with, HTML isn't that bad, but trying to figure out how myspace works is quite the chore.  (and yes computer geeks I realize that myspace uses HTML to edit, but it's still goofy) I have to assume that most people use some kind of editor to change their myspace, cause it sure had me scratching' my head and I've been playing the HTML game for quite a few years now. 

     Anyways, keep checking back often and we'll be sure  to keep you all updated on the current Stranded happenings.  We'll even let you know as soon as we hear about the super-double-secret show that we may be playing at in December.  As soon as it's confirmed of course... 

     heck I'll even let you know if WE don't play it.
